That curiosity is what keeps us invested in research and development as a continuous, deliberate effort rather than an occasional project. We genuinely enjoy exploring new measurement principles, refining existing methods, and turning promising ideas into practical, reliable systems.

This innovative streak is not an end in itself. It translates directly into new products and improved solutions for our customers — tools that help them control, inspect, and validate their processes with greater precision and confidence than before. Whether it is a new sensor concept, a refined analysis method, or an entirely new measurement system, every development is guided by one question: how can we enable our customers to understand their processes even better?

By continuously challenging the boundaries of our own technology, we make sure that the solutions we deliver today are ready for the production realities of tomorrow.

To put this ambition into practice, we are part of the following projects:

• METROPRO – In-line metrology for high-throughput vacuum metallization processes on wafers up to 300 mm
• MixItUp – Development of an in-line method for the electrical characterization of slurry using an eddy current sensor
• niniAs – Development of a non-invasive in-situ analysis method for layer thickness characterization in PVD processes
